Riley sat at the bar swinging her legs absently on the bar stool. She was tired, It'd been a long day at briarhurst and now she was ready for some time to let loose and relax. Her dusty jeans gave a clue to her day she hadn't even bothered to change. she looked across the bar and smiled at the bar tender. "Hey zane. Can i get a rum and coke please?" she watched him walk away and shook her head that boy was trouble they'd been friends since they were children. She watched him walk back with her drink and smiled. "Thanks." He looked at her and laughed. "Yeah well you better behave youself tonight." She shook her head. "When don't i behave?" she looked up at him innocently and he just shook his head laughing as he walked away. Riley Sat alone at the bar again staring at her glass in boredom. It'd be nice to have someone to talk to she decided but the bar was still fairly empty and she didn't recognize anyone here. She spun around and faced the dance floor her back resting on the bar. They needed to put some music on this atmosphere wasn't helping her case of boredom.

Will stood quietly in the rain, his rain slicker on and the hood pulled over. He was sunk into the shadows, seeming more like the wall than a person. A man stepped from far off, coming ever closer. The rain grew a little harder, the damp hair on the back of Will's neck stood up and he suppressed a growl. The man stood and waited. Will stepped out.
*****
Walking into the bar he shook the rain off his slicker, his gun settled nicely in his holster on his belt. With weary eyes he walked to the bar. "I'll have a coke," he said. He wasn't one for alcohol. He used to be, but then... well he just seemed too much like his father, plus he was a light weight, what was the fun of that?
He looked to the lady next to him. He said nothing, his grey eyes a lost soul before they turned to the rest of the bar, surveilling his surroundings. He sighed, finally relaxing a little. The animal in his head paced to get out. Suppressing that was hard, but at the moment vital. Most would probably die of shock if the cop across the room turned into a 430 pound lion.

Riley glanced at the rain soaked man who had approached and sat near her. She watched zane get his drink and she watched him intently he seemed odd. Her eyes followed him until her eyes met his cold grey eyes. She instantly turned back to her drink. She was curious though it was one of her many downfalls, a never ending curiosity. She sat for a while drinking the rest of her drink and getting another. She turned back to the guy figuring a little conversation wouldn't hurt not to mention the alchol had made her braver. "Hi. I'm riley." she spun back toward the bar and glanced at the man. She hadn't seen him before he must be new. She studied over him trying to read him but not suceeding very well.

He smiled lightly, though not interested. Of course he always appeared not interested, so how was a woman to know if he was really not interested or not? He just extended a hand and said, "William Solmen, call me Will," he said. He took a sip of his drink, he was keeping a mental tab on a guy in the far corner playing pool. He was nervous, his hands were shaking every time he tried to level the stick over the table and aim, he always flicked his eyes towards Will.
Will pretended not to notice and acted like he was checking out a girl from across the room in his general direction. The girl was going with it as well, playing right into his plan. He looked back to Riley. "Long day?" he asked, noticing the alcoholic drink.
Before he could give an answer, a finger tapped him on the shoulder. He turned a ninety degree angle and noticed the woman he'd been checking out. He gave a few signs of being drunk, showing her he was an easy target, the guy in the far corner stood stiff, gripping his pool stick nervously and his mouth opened an inch.
Will stood up, swaying a little then laughing, almost giggling. The woman led him to the dance floor, when Will had his back turned to the other guy in the corner, he sent Riley a glare, pretty much saying get out of my sight. It was a little off key from what he'd previously acted like.
He danced with the woman, she was practically in his lap, all over him at once, kissing his neck and grabbing his collar before running her hands down his shirt, she snuck her hands down to the back pockets, swiping his wallet and a few bucks. She grabbed his hand, distracting him with her other one, tugging at the waist of his pants before quickly steeling the nice watch from his wrist. All the sudden the guy with the pool stick was behind Will, aiming to knock him over the head. Will dropped, swinging his foot around to take the man out at the ankles. The girl, realizing she'd been dooped, turned to run, he grabbed her ankle and brought her down, she pulled out a gun, Will used her foot as an anchor and swung his foot around, knocking it out of her hands to slide against the floor. The other guy had the poolstick and brought it around his throat, choking him. Will pulled out his hand cuffs and cuffed the girl's ankle and then sticking the other cuff to the man's hand before giving him an elbow to the face. Crying out the man fell back, dropping the pool stick. "I told you, you son of a bitch, I told you I'd get you," Will said coldly. The guy went pale.
"No... but you... I blew up your fucking building! YOU CHEATED!" the man cried.
"Life's not fair, tell the jury. Thanks for the confession. By the way, you have the right to remain silent, anything you do or say can and will be used against you in the court of law," Will said, snapping the cuffs on roughly. The other people in the bar watched ... awkwardly. Will flashed his badge, though didn't leave it open long enough for them to look closely. He grabbed his wallet and things back from the girl and two men walked in. "I'm taking my break," Will said. They just nodded and led the two out, rereading the couple their rights.
He walked back to the girl- erm- Riley. He sat down. "I guess I thought you'd leave, but then again I'm never to good with women," he said with a little laugh. He noticed the gun on the ground and picked it up, slipping the clip out before tucking the gun under his belt and sticking the clip in his pocket. He finished his coke and said, "I'll have another. ... Can I have a little rum in my coke?" he asked, handing over the money, he realized he hadn't paid for the first one and paid the man for that, plus a nice tip. "Sorry for the pool stick, it's probably bent a little," he said with a wain smile.

Riley sat on the bar stool a little dazed and confused. She'd turned her back to the man as she watched him leave to go entertertain the other. She chugged the rest of her drink sighing loudly. "So why is it zane whenever i find company they always leave?" she laughed and watched the bar owner walk away from her. She shook her head and grabbed her jacket preparing the head for the door. She'd had enough fun for one day. She laid a ten on the bar and heard a commotion behind her. She turned quickly to see the scene play out before her. She sank back onto the barstool to entertained to move. She sat mesmerized for a few mintues until the whole brawl had ended. She sat her jacket back on the bar stool and turned back around. "I think i need something stronger zane." she shook her head and then turned as she heard someone approaching. she glanced over to see the guy approaching her again. "Well i was headed out until the whole fiasco started and how could i leave knowing i'd be missing something rather intresting?" she laughed. It was true this town was so quite it was nice to see something stir up every now and then. Zane returned with a shot of rum and another rum and coke. he sat them before riley before glancing over the guy. He slid him a coke with a little rum in it and shrugged. "No big deal i've got a few extra they seem to get broken alot." she ran a hand through his messy black hair and returned to further down the bar. Riley turned back to the guy beside her. 'So what the hell was that all about?" she downed the shot quickly the alcohol sending a shiver down her spin.

He watched her quietly. "If I told you... I'd have t kill you," he said seriously, before a grin split his face. "Naw, they were dealing with drugs and the guy was a brother to one of my arch enemies. It's kind of a long story I'm really not allowed to talk about," he said smiling before taking a sip of his rum and coke. He'd have to leave money for the pool stick, either way. He smiled lightly before his phone vibrated. He pulled it out quickly. "Hey honey," he said smiling. "You did? Wow. Isn't it you're bed time?... haha, I know, I'll be home in a little bit," he said. He paused, "I love you too, now get some sleep," he said. He then hung up and slipped the phone in his pocket before taking another sip. "It's my daughter," he said proudly, but some how it pained him. He took another sip of the coke. If he didn't have to drive back home he would be having vodka. "She's real sweet," was all he said after that, peering down at his drink.

Riley took a swig of her drink. Wow he leads quite a life she thought to herself. "Well sounds like you life is never dull." She enjoyed her quiet everything is perfect life. It'd been years since she had stability and since she'd moved her everything had just fallen into place. She heard him answer his phone and rolled her eyes a little turning back to her drink. Wow another girl. She turned her attention back to him as he hung up and mentioned it was his daughter. She felt her cheeks redden but they werent noticeable. "how old is she?" she always been one to stay away from kids they seemed to love her but she never knew how to behave or act around them so she just avoided the awkward situations they presented unless it came to riding then she was fine and knew how to do that.
ooc sorry this is rather dull i just don't have much muse.

(is ok)
He smiled, "She's four," he said. His eyes were grey and a little lifeless, as if he were hiding feeling. He looked down at his drink. He took a sip, but he was starting to grow sick of the alcohol, he had always disliked alcohol, but he'd needed to loosen up or he would have scared everyone with his amazing magic trick.
He smiled a little wryly at the thought. He watched a few people walk in and a few people walk out. He took off his other jacket, it was a light and very old leather jacket, shimmying it pass his shoulders and down to his hands where they caught it and rested it in his lap. He wore a white t-shirt under it, fitting nicely over his muscles. He felt his animal pace inside his mind, wanting out.
"Calm down," he muttered to himself. His lion stretched, letting out an anxious roar in his head. Will gripped his temples. "Crap, damn headache," he murmured. He stood up, this time really dizzy. Oh no, he wasn't going to make it outside. He felt one of his vertebra snap, then another, he could smell an acrid burning. His eyes shifted from black to white to color several times and he had trouble focusing.
He felt his clothes burn against his skin, he didn't even grab his jacket, his body was heating up to boiling temperature. People all gave him a weird look, someone muttered 'drunk' in the background. He spotted the back door and sprinted, not minding to watch out for any of the employees who shouted angrily at him, saying he wasn't allowed to go back there.
"Damn drunk!" one lady yelled when he'd made her loose her balance and drop the tray of drinks, the glass shattering on the floor.
Will made it in time to feel the fur grow on his skin, his muscles stretching and his bones contorting to fight into the new form. "No-" he bit out. He fought for control, gripping onto his sanity, the lion snarled, lunging at him, trying hard to escape it's confinement.
Will was snapped in like a rubber band. The lightning struck in the sky and the rain matted his pelt. His yellow eyes took in the night, the darkness was no longer darkness, just shades of grey, he could see every detail in high definition. He padded around in a circle, sniffing the ground. He noticed the shreds of clothes and sighed, well he'd have to pick up his things tomorrow, no chance in going back in there nude, they'd be calling the asylum to come pick him up for heavens sake. He grabbed his wallet and such and padded to the other end of the alley to peer out to check if it was ok to go out in the open. He managed to click on the unlock button for his car and he ran up quickly, his mouth having issues opening the car door before sticking the soaked things in the car. He heard a door on and shut the car door quickly and hid under the car, getting soaked in the process.
Will felt like someone had suddenly hit him in the gut, all the air left his lungs and his mouth watered. There was a tingling rush through his body and he felt the same feeling he did when he was on the hunt. He let out a hungry growl, trying to repress it but it was too late. He watched someone's feet, feminine looking, pause before the car. Will let out a growl too low to hear. His eyes locked on the target. Inside, Will was tugging effortlessly at his beast, screaming no for all he was worth.

Riley watched the scene unfold before her. She watched as the guy who she had seen sitting beside her for half the night slowly drinking his rather what looked like weak drink. She shook her head and grabbed her jacket as she watched him dart out the back door. She glanced down the bar at zane who shot a look of disagreement at her. "Don't even think about it riley. He was drunk and i don't want you getting hurt." he warned her like an older brother would. She brushed off his warning. "I'll be fine zane." she pulled on her jacket and rushed toward the main door. She knew he'd fled out the back but odds were his car was parked somewhere out front. She walked forward out of the door and then toward the vehicles outside. The rain soaked her brunette hair and sent a shiver down her spine. She stepped between two vehicles and stood there for a moment looking around. Where had he gone so quickly. She racked her brain for his name but in the excitment she'd forgotten it. She sighed and began to turn toward the door when the crunch of gravel caught her attention she shuttered and backed up a little looking around uneasily. "Will?" she remembered his name and he voice shook a little as she listened to the silent night.

The big cat froze, wedged under the weight of the truck. 'Back off, don't do it. God please don't do it! I'll give anything!' But the cat didn't want just anything, it wanted flesh and blood... and Riley. With the sickest of turns the cat nimbly and silently snuck from under the car, then padded not so silently for Riley, trotting down the aisle of cars straight for her. The moon snuck around the corner of a cloud, shedding light threw the now light sprinkle of rain. The cat was probably larger than most mammals, the lion in general, but the form Will was in was probably one of the largest male lions, considering bone density it wasn't very shocking. Will had pretty much looked down at people for his whole life, not figuratively either.
The cat opened his mouth, inside Will fighting so hard for control. The cat froze, paused for just a second in front of Riley. 'Hit me damn it!' he tried to tell her. The cat's body twitched, the lion deformed, the smell of flesh hit the air, the lion let out a piercing roar of fury, it seemed to half way morph, a hideous disfigurement before crumpling back into it's Lion form. The lion dug it's talon like claws into the gravel, it's muscles twitching and bones misplaced in several areas.
The lion seemed to grow, his hair receded and was replaced by skin. "Nuh- Ooo!" Came Will's strangled voice. He'd never turned on a human before, but that didn't make this situation any better. Will was now suddenly where the lion once was, crumpled on the ground and tarnished. He felt fatigue in his joints and he sat there in the darkness, the moon had disappeared behind the clouds again.
Inwardly he was beating the lion down, fighting him off, until he felt the lion was secure did he stand up. His nudity didn't bug him, and he hoped she was bothered either, though in the now sudden darkness it seemed likely she couldn't see as well as his eyes could. His eyes adapting quickly and focusing in on her figure in the darkness. She'd seen... what should he do... crap what should he do?! He could knock her over the head and kidnap her or something? But Will didn't have that kind of heart, or stomach, to do that to some poor innocent woman. Maybe she'd... act like nothing happened? Ignore it? The lion lashed out, suddenly loose in his mind again. "Noo!" He said. He gripped his temples. The fur grew again. But seconds later the lion had calmed down and was now forgotten in his mess of a mind.
Maybe he should wait for her to decide what he should do. If she freaked out and tried to get human help he'd knock her out or something. If she was calm... or some what calm, he'd figure out what to do then. So his plan was pretty much to make a plan.
'You're sooooo screwed, Will,' he thought.
And with a rumbling laugh the lion answered with, 'You aren't yet, but maybe she could help you out?' Mentally he growled at the lion, who pretty much shrugged.
He was lucky if she didn't attack him in fear of him attacking her, oh things are so confusing.
