Lexus pulled into the vet clinic, her large four horse behind her truck with a one horse in it. She’d collected semen from Ollie earlier today, and Sky was in dead heat and more then excited to do this. Okay, so she probably wasn’t excited and definitely would rather have live cover but Lexus was not a fan of it at all. Besides, it kept Ollie’s brain in tact. She parked it far away from the office, just in case anybody else had to come in. It was pretty easy and most people called the vet out, but Lexus enjoyed going out of her way. She knew it was much nicer to not have to bring all your stuff somewhere, she knew how much Nate liked showing at a barn he was at. Lexus stepped out, her cowboy boots hitting the snow that she had been very close to parking on. Her jeans were pretty standard and she wore a black jacket with a pink hoodie underneath. It was really chilly out today. Lexus opened the door and saw Sky happily munching on her hay bag and quite content with her cooler on. Lexus just laughed at the mare, obviously used to trailering places. She closed the door and headed towards the office, “Hello?” she called, wondering where everybody was.

Michel got up from his desk when he heard the door open. He opend his office door and smiled to see Lexus standing there. He walked out, remembering he'd told her he'd do the AI for the mare. "Hello, welcome to the Vet Clinic. How may I help you?" he said, trying to be prossesional. A perk of taking buisness courses as a vet. He looked out the window and saw her trailor.

Lexus smiled as saw Michel and chuckled softly at the professional greeting. She’d never been good at being business like with people she already knew. But it came from looking professional with new people, and not trying to impress people who already knew you. Kind of something she really shouldn’t have gotten into the habit of. “I’ve got Sky here and well, part of Ollie” said Lexus, nodding towards the trailer that was fairly new. Lexus walked towards the trailer, and opened the door to reveal the gorgeous grey mare. She was one of the nicest hunters Lexus had ever seen and when she’d saw that she was for sale had snatched her up and had her shipped down. A foal out of her alone was priceless. Especially with Ollie, she was like the perfect opposite. So genetically, they should have one of the nice and flashiest babies. “This is Sky, or Blue Skies Delight. She’s the new mare, she’s in dead heat but she’s never carried a foal before.” said Lexus before slipping under the divider, undoing her and then having the mare back herself off the trailer. Sky looked around, obviously wondering where she was. Her coat was still clipped from showing a few weeks ago and her body still gleamed. She wasn’t a horse that liked to roll apparently.

Michel chuckled too. He hated being buisness like, it wasn't how anybody back home acted, so it all came from school and out of town stuff. "Sky, is she your mare? I think I got the rest." He smiled. So, she was here for AI. That was a conculsion he could make already. Just had to get through the boring part. "Wait, Blue Skies Delight? Wow, how'd you get your hands on her?" She was one mare he'd heard of. Sure, he'd done a little reaserch. Michel walked over and patted her behind. "Is she up to date on all the vaccines? I have a place out back you can leave her while we do some paper work. honestly, I hate it, but I have to get it done." Michel smiled to Lexus. Sure, the paper work was basic, but a nesecity for breeding.

“Well she has a passport and showed all year non stop, I’m pretty sure she has all of them” said Lexus with a laugh as she grabbed a bag full of paperwork for the mare, and a few things she’d tossed in that were Ollie’s. But mainly it was all the stuff Sky needed, some stuff wasn’t needed but she hadn’t had time to sort it all out this morning. “Yeah I’ll toss her back there, I’m pretty sure I could leaver her tied with dental floss and she’d stand” said Lexus letting the mare follow her towards the back, holding the lead more for looks sake then anything. She’d worked with this mare long enough to know she was a sweetheart, it was one horse she saw ringside and felt like going back home. She was that good. “Paperwork is very popular in the horse world. Everybody knows it, everybody hates it, everybody talks about it and everyone does it. Sound like a high school cheerleader much?” said Lexus, soft laughter escaping her lips as she tossed Sky into a stall. The mare didn’t even lift her head at the new surroundings, and just walked to the back and rested her right hind. “Do you do chiropractic work?” asked Lexus, figuring she’d need to get Sky, Ollie and Cash at least done fairly soon, they had had a really hard show season.

"Okay. I'll check her file just to make sure. How about Ollie?" Michel showed her where she could leave Sky. "Dental floss? I knew she was well behaved, but that well behaved? Wow." Michel offerd to take the bag of paper work. "I'll sort through this for you. If you want that is." Michel rubbed Sky's head. "Just a little. But less dancing and stunting." Michel said laughing. He'd been on the field while the cheerleaders cheerd. He'd also dated most of the squad. But he'd keep that to himself. "I do. Speeking of that though, how's the horse I treated? Is his leg ok? Sorry I haven't made it in for a follow up.

“It’s all in the bag, a little disorganized but it’s in there. I didn’t expect her to come to me in dead heat.” said Lexus as she handed the bag to him, it was just a little bit disorganized. Her passport and everything was in there, the horse had been vetted probably three times this year just to insure she was capable of showing at the level she was at. Lexus smiled at the grey mare, who was seriously her idea of a dream horse. But the mare just needed something a bit more to her, she couldn’t pin point it but she was hoping Ollie would give it to her. “Oh all Ollie’s stuff is under After Hours, since that’s his registered name” said Lexus remembering that Ollie was not Ollie to the rest of the world. She was starting to go off into a train of thought about the gelding when she heard him mention him and his injury. “Oh he’s been great, brought him back a couple of days ago and he hasn’t put a foot wrong. Haven’t done anything too much but he seems a hundred and ten percent. He’s never been the kind to prolong an injury” said Lexus, remembering the stallion’s last school. He’s easily floated around and jumped a very small course, lead changes an all. That was the deal maker or breaker for him, he was so naturally leaded that if he didn’t switch she knew something was off. That was when she got the chiropractor out, had him vetted everything. He was under watch for small stupid things that she just knew he always did.

"Ok, I'll go through it later then. Most people don't expect it, but it happens." He did a quick check through the bag. Everything for both horses, so they'd be good. It could get sorted later. "After Hours, got it." Michel said, making a mental note to keep track of it. Not that it would be hard too, but he didn't want to chance it. "You mentioned that when I came to look at him. Do you want me to do the follow up?" There was no need if she didn't think there was, but he'd have to be watched to make sure he wasn;t favouring one side or the other.

“He is going to need chiropractic work, so we can make a joint appointment? He’s pretty easy and may not even need to be adjusted, but I like to make sure he’s fine” said Lexus as she slipped into his office. She sat down easily, knowing it’d be good to have him look at Ollie again. She was sure he was a hundred percent fine, but that’d at least allow her to okay herself with him jumping any height. Lexus crossed her legs easily, something she always did when she was in a business like location- it was something she’d picked up after her one ex let his hands wander well she was in a meeting. Now, she did it out of habit from dating him- even if it was over a year ago. She was a bit of a special case, but in her opinion it was live and learn.

"Sure. I'd be glad to have him. Want to discuss that later?" Michel sat down after Lexus and smiled. He palyed out the paper work. "Where is that part of Ollie you brought? I'd let to get it on ice soon." It was better if he stored it in his facilities for a while. That way he could be sure it was it peak condition. He smiled to Lexus and he sifted through the papewrwork.

“For sure” said Lexus as she looked around the office, it was fairly standard but at least it was fairly clean. Even she hated messy offices, it was just unprofessional. “Have it on ice already, but I’ll bring it in, those ice packs are pretty old” said Lexus before walking out of the office and towards the truck and trailer. Lexus headed for the truck and saw Dufus’ head plastered against the window once he saw her. “Fine” she mumbled to herself as she opened the truck door and let him out. He happily ran around the parking lot to find a place to pee before returning to her side. Lexus just grabbed the cooler and motioned for Dufus to follow. He pretty much ran circles around her until she was almost there in which his energy was capped out and he happily slugged behind her at a slow pace. Lexus opened the door and gave Dufus a look that insisted her hurry up, in which he picked up a normal walk and entered the office. “Here” she said with a smile and set it on the floor beside his desk, not sure where he wanted to put it. Lexus was about to tell Dufus to sit with her but he’d already curled up at her feet and was eyeing Michel like a mad man, apparently he remembered Michel and was still jealous.

"Okay. Wanna bring it in?" Michel got up. He rubbed Dufus's head and smiled. He took the cooler and put it in the back room and labeld it. He walked back to Lexus. "Let's go check out that mare shall we?" He smiled as he opend the door to the clinic.

“Ok” said Lexus, following behind as they made their way back to the few stalls the vet clinic had. She could hear the sound of her boots hitting the floor, it was like a soft thump. It always made her laugh when guys waked around with spurs on their boots and they clinked, mainly because most people that actually rode western took their spurs off after they ride because they know it can ruin the spurs and the boots. Lexus saw the grey mare still in the same position, only know in like a coma sleep. Stressed? I don’t think so. “Sky Sky, hey pretty girl” said Lexus as she slipped into the stall. The mare wandered over, and for the fact she only had her for just a very short while they had a pretty strong bond. But Lexus has always admired the mare, and rode her a few times when her owner was sick and needed her shown to keep points up. She kissed the mare softly in between her eyes. The mare just closed her eyes and followed as Lexus went back to the door and just leaned on the stall wall, to door still wide open. She glanced at the mare who just hung her head, waiting for pets. She was so easy, Lexus loved it.

"Ok." Michel smiled as he walked into the barn. His boots hitting the familiar concret flooring, coverd in hay. He simled at the sound as he walked into the tack room. He grabbed the vet supplies he needed and went back over to Lexus. "Heya Sky." Michel said as he rubbed the mares head. He handed Lexus a lead rope. "Bring her over." he said. Most of the time the clients wanted to handel thier own horses. Michel could do the rest. He walked over to the AI stall. "Lead her in, I can clipped her to the cross ties." He grabbed the cover boots out of his bag. Hey! He didn't want to be kick if she wasn't ready for it herself.

Lexus nodded and led the mare towards the AI stall and she happily stood there, as if she’d done it a million times. It pays to breed a very experienced show horse thought Lexus as she clipped the mare in. She had a feeling she’d be pretty tight, since she’d never even been artificially inseminated before- let alone the real deal with a stud. Lexus felt bad for the poor mare. But more for Michel, because who really wanted to stick there arm up there let alone when she’s tight as hell. Lexus rubbed the mare’s forward and watched with interest, she’d always enjoyed watching vets at work- it was beyond interesting. She’d never be able to do some stuff they did, but for the most part she liked watching. The deaths, stitching, drains etc well that she preferred to see very very little, but stuff like this was interesting.
