Mercedes walked into the club, her eyes scanning the bar and dance floor for somebody worth staying for. She wasn’t sure if Lexus was coming, but she assumed not considering it was Lexus. Mercedes pulled her shirt down slightly, almost secretly to revel a tad bit more of her cleavage and her denim skirt easily showed off the long, toned legs that were golden as if she’d just come back form a tropical vacation. She wore heels, as usual and the black stiletto’s made her slightly taller then her normal 5’6” frame. Her brown curls hung loosely and framed her face, a small smile that was almost a smirk crossed it. Mercedes listened to the music easily, her body absorbing the tune as she waited at the bar for a drink. She looked to her left to see an extremely hot guy, one she’d definitely observe for a bit to see if his girlfriend was near. Her right was a few girls, all looking a little off for her type but still at least in the whole party scene. Mercedes just smiled as the bartender laid his eyes on her, well more her chest, as she pointed towards a margarita he was handing off. She soon found herself holding one, just a bit stronger then it was supposed to be, and slid the cool drink down her throat softly enjoying the extra alcohol.

Sean was new to town, but new to the clubbing scene he was not. Tonight he was going casual with cowboy boots, black jeans, and a blue button up that matched his eyes. Girls tended to appreciate things like that. Because apparently his eyes were dreamy or some shit like that. Sean wasn't going to complain if it got him laid. He didn't have any students in the morning, so he could afford to go a little wild tonight. He sidled up to the bar and started off easy with a Jack and Coke. As he sipped, he surveyed the room. The music was okay. There wasn't much dancing going on yet. It was still fairly early. There were a few pretty hot girls on the dance floor, but for the most part they all seemed attached to someone. Unfortunate. Because Sean could be a bastard, but he wasn't a poacher. Just because he wasn't into monogamy didn't mean he wanted to horn in on some other guy's territory. Unless he really just didn't like them. His attention had jumped straight to the dance floor, but eventually made its way along the bar. And apparently he had been looking in the wrong direction because hot and unattached seemed to be just a couple stools down. He downed the rest of his drink and ordered a Corona. He was planning on a long night, might as well start slow. He slid off his stool and moved down a couple to slide in beside the hottie who might as well have not been wearing a shirt at all. "Need a refill?"

“Always, but I’ll take a Budweiser this time” said Mercedes, her eyes glancing to the left as she finished off her margarita effortlessly. He looked like your average club scene male, but the cowboy boots and button up tossed her for a loop. Lexus moved her eyes back to the bar, glancing at the bar tender as she waited for her drink. “Mercedes” she said easily as she glanced back towards him, this time spinning in her seat. She wasn’t worried about picking the wrong guy, the selection was slow this early in the night. She was just glad she could drink like a fish, considering her body type she should probably be an easy drunk. Sadly for most males, and their wallets, she wasn’t. She’d grown up on alcohol, and no she wasn’t Italian and her mother wasn’t a drunk. Her father well? He was a bit of a special case but he was gone, thank god. But it happens when you grow up on a farm, at fifteen she’d been drinking with the older boarders and by sixteen was part of the Friday night drinks and seventeen was out with a fake ID. She’d kind of skipped the whole good little girl scene, she’d allowed Lexus to fill that spot in the family for the most part. But she wasn’t willing to deal with the shit that went on, the divorce court, anything- it was all just static instead of facts to her. She’d had better things to do, she had ways to get distracted. It was her, never the all american girl but the real american girl. The one with secrets, reasons and well, bad intentions. But really, bad intentions were better then no intentions at all- correct?

Sean nodded to the bartender and two cold bottles quickly appeared in front of them. He took a swig of his Corona, blatantly giving her a once over. Short skirt, long legs; definitely a good combination. She was hot. And he liked a girl who wasn't afraid of alcohol. Tipsy was fun. Drunk was great. Sloppy drunk was annoying though. It wasn't much of a night if the other person was unconscious. Sean drank to have fun. He was pretty obviously Irish and he could hold his liquor accordingly. His dad had been a mean drunk and Sean had the scars to prove it. Which was why he was a very mellow drunk who liked to laugh and dance and just generally have a good time. He avoided fistfights and screaming matches. Sean. He thought about making some comment about taking her for a ride, but she had to have heard it all before. And it was too early in the evening to get slapped. New in town. This a decent gig? His first couple of weeks had been spent settling in his horses and setting up clients. Tonight was the first time he'd had a chance to really kick up his heels. It was a shame he hadn't been able to talk the doc into coming out, but Jim had grumbled about how he wasn't some wet behind the ears kid and he wasn't going to waste his evening on beer and loose women. The vet was so easy to wind up.

Mercedes nodded slightly at his name, just acknowledging she’d heard it over the loud music and nearby conversations. Why did everybody else have a normal name? Even her siblings were simple, Chelsey and Hughie. Mercedes? It was like the biggest pain in the ass ever when it came to introducing yourself, she was jealous of all the uncreative parents. Though, she did enjoy having a different name as it stuck in people’s heads, but that was definitely over rated. Especially having a best friend, well pretty much sister, named Lexus. Hell jokes much? Yeah, but she had to admit it beat being named Ford or Honda. That would really suck, like over the top kill me now suck. She took a sip of her drink as she heard him speak, starting to wonder how the hell she’d managed to get plastered when she was younger. Now it took what she’d drink tonight and at least twelve shots of vodka for her to be even be tipsy. It was like no matter how much she drank she just got a light buzz, just enough to relax and make pointless conversation and have casual sex without thinking she might regret it later. She was a fun drunk, and sadly that was pretty much all she could be. But it beat dry heaves in the morning and being immobile for at least a day after going out. “I’ve heard it’s alright, but new to this town” said Mercedes as she scanned the club, it was a lot better then the small town bar that was close to her house. At least this actually had dancing, and people that weren’t old drunks or casual drinkers. At least place presented the opportunity of fun, the other pretty much had a bar tender going for it. Mercedes saw a blonde out of the corner of her eye enter the bar, but her eyes turned back when she realised it wasn’t Lexus. As much as she did drink some days, Lexus was probably the worst club goer ever. Now a days, anyways. But Mercedes found it sometimes a pain in the ass to have people tag along, it meant you had to find them.. Or remember them.. At the end of the night.

The club didn’t seem any different that the hundred other ones Sean had been in, but he didn’t have any complaints. The music was decent and the bar selection was good, overpriced, but what bar wasn’t? He could probably even get some decent Guinness here if he wanted, but it would be served cold. Americans really didn’t know what to do with good European beer. Not that Sean wasn’t American himself, but his dad had been raised in Ireland and had impressed some of his less destructive tendencies on his offspring. But tonight he’d settle for Corona and maybe some more Jack later. “Yeah, it seems okay. Decent music, you up for a dance?” The floor was a little more crowded now that the clubbing evening was getting in full swing. He noticed her glancing at the door and wondered if she had a boyfriend after all. If so, he would just move on to the next pretty face in a short skirt.

“Always” said Lexus as she finished the last half of her beer probably a little too quickly. But she refused to leave half a drink anywhere, not only was it a waste but she feared somebody may pick it up after somebody’s slipped something into it. She wasn’t one to let onto the second half of that, just like she wasn’t one to let onto a lot of things in her life. She looked at the dance floor as she started to move towards it effortlessly, it wasn’t full by any means. It was filling up quickly though, and a few new faces had appeared without somebody draped on their arm. But she’d stick around with this guy for a bit, he didn’t seem to bad. Obviously in it for the end of the night special, but what guy wasn’t? At least she knew she was worth waiting all night for, instead of picking up some young inexperienced drunk. Some days she doubted the whole thing, but at least she knew in the morning she had nothing tying her down. She might change her mind one day, but that wasn’t going to be easy- for her mind or any boy. She wasn’t into the whole heart broken, romance shit- She’d always been the heartbreaker. She moved her eyes as she started to dance, glancing up at the guy. What was his name again? Sam? Sean? Sean, that was it. She smiled at herself, oh how she really needed to stop doing this. But like that would happen anytime soon, it’s take something just a bit short of a miracle. She started paying attention to the music, letting her hips easily sway to the beat the echoed through the air. It was extremely easy to dance to when music was this loud. She did some dancing when she was little, and she was sure her rhythm showed slightly, but other then that it’d been major money down the drain. Nobody danced like that outside the studio, so it was pointless.

Sean downed the rest of his Corona and grinned. “My kinda girl. She could toss back the drinks and to all appearances, she could handle ‘em too. Sean had a pleasant low buzz going, but it would take a lot more hard liquor before he was even close to being gone. And if the evening ended well with this hottie, he definitely did not want to be so blitzed that he botched the job. Sean hung back a step behind her as they headed to the dance floor and the view was nothing to complain about. The girl had legs and knew how to use ‘em. She must have found a spot she liked because she stopped walking and started responding to the music. Sean wasn’t really a dancer, but a lifetime of riding horses had taught him balance and how to use his hips. It was enough that he never made a fool of himself on the dance floor and he was capable of more than just grinding mindlessly against a girl. Not that he wasn’t capable of that too, but that was vertical sex, he wanted to dance. He slid in so that he was facing her and let the music dictate his movements. He liked being able to see his partner’s face. He couldn’t help but grin. For him, this was as close to contentment as he got. A little alcohol in his system, a pretty girl in front of him, horses that were sound, and most unexpectedly, two people he could call friends, not acquaintances or fuck buddies. All was right in Sean Thornton’s world and it showed in his relaxed movements and the way his usual smirk was more of an actual smile than usual.

Lexus moved easily to the music, slightly impressed he was actually facing her. Well impressed wasn’t the write word, more amused that he hadn’t just fixed himself to her ass- it was actually a nice change, but she gave it five minutes. She really had no faith in anybody she met at a club. Actually, the only people she had faith in was well Lexus and Nate. Everyone else she either fucked or fucked over. Probably not the best thing for somebody to do, but it beat being fucked over. The only thing she didn’t like about this was she actually had to focus now, she couldn’t just stand there pushing her ass into some guys crotch well gazing around the room. She actually had to look at the person she was dancing with. That almost seemed like work, having to pay attention to somebody- but she just held her calm expression as she moved effortlessly. “You ride?” she asked, deciding it was probably good to keep some conversation flowing. Otherwise her mind tended to wander even more then it did, and thinking never seemed to work out very well for her. “Horses, that is” she added in, realizing how easily wrong that sentence could have been taking. Not that she cared, but she didn’t even have a light buzz going yet- She didn’t feel like speeding things along with barely any alcohol in her system. She let a small smile escape, but nothing to extravagant, it was more at the thought of the two horses standing in stalls right now. She loved riding, but she’d learn to play it down a lot. She had been the coaches daughter and held to such high standards her entire life that now that she was free of it, she didn’t want to build up anybody. She wanted to just be that girl who had a couple nice jumpers. That was why she rode early in the morning, so nobody realized how hard she trained. And those trips to the gym and running? Well that was just so she stayed thin, or so everyone thought. She even had Lexus fooled into the ordeal. It was all just putting up a pretty little front, which was all she ever did. That smile that showed a little innocence and a lot of not so innocent was just a front, but nobody saw through it. And for the most part, she liked it that way.

Merecedes had a nice ass and Sean definitely planned to check it out more closely soon, but he was plenty occupied by the assets on her front at the moment. He moved well into her personal space, fitting a leg in between hers and letting his hands rest on a very shapely waist. He wasn’t looking for a girlfriend, wouldn’t even be all that bent out of shape if the evening didn’t end up in sex. That would be nice, but what he really enjoyed was the utter relaxation of a few strong drinks and some loud music. Sean couldn’t help but smirk at her question. She left herself wide open on that one. “I ride all sorts of things. Horses included.” Yeah not too original, but really, she was asking for it with a question like that. “How about you? Horses, guys, motorcycles?” No one had ever accused Sean of being a gentleman. Sean was in fact a very dedicated rider. The Olympics were his goal and he had a horse who might just be good enough to get him there.

Mercedes laughed, she seriously should have been a blonde. Or maybe she should have been innocent? Whatever she should have been, it obviously wasn’t this. “A bit of everything, but I show horses are the only thing I prefer to ride in front of crowds” said Mercedes, letting her one arm slip around him easily. Mercedes continued to dance, letting her eyes set on his body. He was good looking, though almost small enough to be considered skinny. But his muscles seemed to keep him out of that category, almost like they were the only thing keeping him proportionate. He had killer hair to, probably the weirdest thing to think about- since the whole “omg you have nice eyes” just wasn’t her thing.. How often did she stare into a guys eyes? Hell she didn’t stare into anybody’s eyes unless she was really pissed off. There was much more interesting things to look at on a male figure then their eyes. You had to be pretty ugly if the only compliment you could get was nice eyes, seriously. She cringed when people told her that, she’d rather be told they hated her hair. And her hair was one thing she actually cared about- it was pretty easy to work with, but she did make it look nice. Hell she rarely wore makeup, tonight a prime example of that. Mascara and some chapstick. She just sweated anything heavy off if she played to hard, and well lipstick? She didn’t know many guys that liked lipstick on their cheek, let alone anywhere else.

Jim would have smacked him in the head for saying something like that. The southern boy had definite ideas about how women should be treated despite the way he’d been dragged through the dirt by his ex-wife. But the women Sean had grown up, they’d probably have been more surprised by good manners than by a dirty comment. Which was why Sean’s smirk grew into a grin at her answer. “So I guess that rules out a career in pole dancing. I event, what do you show in?” Sean had a reckless streak about a mile wide and cross country was right up his alley. He didn’t miss her perusal of his body and took that as permission to do a little looking of his own. Not that he hadn’t already mapped it out from behind. She was pretty fucking hot, but not in an overdone way. Heavy makeup drove him nuts. And her clothes didn’t leave much to the imagination, but they weren’t scandalous. It was kinda hot, but mostly he just felt sorry for the girls who felt like they had to show off the goods to get someone to notice them.

Mercedes laughed easily at his pole dancing comment, her face showing a little bit more of a smile then a smirk as she rolled her eyes at herself. She was such a fake, it amazed her. But really what were the people who wanted long term relationships doing tonight? She wasn’t a hopeless romantic by any means, no matter what her intentions were, a dinner date just sounded painful. And really Lexus was probably sitting on the couch watching TV, thinking about some stupid guy. Really it was completely pointless, who wanted to be alone and waiting there whole life? Okay so maybe it’ll pay off when you’re eighty and no longer know what sex is, but when you’re not eighty? It’s pretty much the biggest waste of your life. Or at least, she went with that. But whatever, there was no such thing as a guy that wouldn’t take sex over holding hands. Even gay guys would take sex over holding hands, at least she assumed. But really, why bother when no matter who you date, sleep with, whatever, they talk to you for you’re looks, stay with you for your sex and marry you because of your ability to give killer head. It was pretty much all sex, how many guys married bitches? Emhmm, point proven.
“I prefer hunter/ jumper, but I’ve rode a bit of everything” said Mercedes, aware of his eyes running along her body, But she wasn’t stupid, she just didn’t care. As if she’d never checked a guy out and looked over him a few more times after. It’s not like she hadn’t dressed for it. But it all just kept things easy, how many guys at a bar checked out the girl in jeans and a hoodie? Not too many. Though she didn’t always dress this revealing, but she wasn’t meeting anybody here and she wasn’t about to stand at the bar alone- she wasn’t that type of girl. She did care what people thought, she just didn’t show it. “So what’s with the cowboy boots, last time I checked eventer’s wore tall boots and breeches?” she said teasingly, as if he would show up in tall boots at a bar. Not only would he get weird looks, but he’d pretty much only get hit on by gay guys.. Who wanted kinky sex… Mercedes may sleep around, but even she thought kinky sex was a little weird. It was like partial rape, and that was definitely not a turn on.
