Rules (please read)
1. There is no minimum posting length here. Post as little or as much as you want. Keep in mind though, if you post a very small amount you're not giving much infomation for others to reply to (alternatively, if you post a HUGE post, it can become boring to read or intimidating to respond to for other players)
2. Images in signatures must be no more than 450-500 pixels wide, otherwise they stretch the forum.
3. This rpg is freeworld. So yes, your 13 year old character can buy a house. And sure, if you want to have a vampiric or werewolf character or an angelic being from above, go for it. But there are limitations:
a) Your character cannot be so different that it implies superiority. For example: vampires are believed be to stronger than the average human, however if you create a vampire, you cannot RP that vampire as if its stronger than everyone else. Thats godmoding.
b) Be reasonable. "my character shoots lightning bolts from his eyes and people die when he breathes on them" is not reasonable (lol).
c) I don't allow any unrealistic animals. Meaning no unicorns, pegasuses, three headed dogs, etc.
4. When you join, you dont have to wait to be accepted before you can RP . If there is a problem with your character, we'll PM you :-)
How-to-play Information (Optional. This is information for reference, if youre ever confused)
Horses
Obtaining a horse
There are four ways to get a horse.
1) When you join, you can join with a horse.
2) Purchase a horse from another player (at the auction house)
3) Breed your horse with someone else's horse
4) Purchase a capture license and capture a wild mustang from Spirit Valley.
Showing a horse
You can enter your horse in shows that are run by the stables. The winners of shows are chosen with a randomizer (equal opportunity). When you place in an event, the horse gains points (the more points a horse has, the more valuable it is). A horse's points is recorded in the "Pointed Horses" thread in the stable that the horse resides at.
1st place = 15 points
2nd place = 10 points
3rd place = 5
Breeding a horse
If you have a stallion, you can advertise the stallion for stud in the Classifieds board. You can charge money to let people breed their mares to your stallion, or advertise that you'd like to pay someone to breed their mare to your stallion so you may keep the foal. The more points your stallion has, the more you can charge for stud fees.
Go to the Vet clinic to breed your horses, and return to the vet clinic to foal the horses. The vet clinic will not charge money to breed your horses.
When the time comes for a mare to give birth at the vet clinic (the amount of time pregnancy lasts is up to you) notify a staff member and they will post the basic stats of the newborn foal, including any points that the foal got from its parents.
How points work:
25% of the stallion's points go to the foal (if the stallion has 100 points, the foal will get 25 points from him)
25% of the mare's point will also go to the foal (if a foal has a dame with 100 points and a sire with 100 points, the foal will be born with 50 points)
Training a horse
Horses can be trained by trainers for a fee. The minimum free that a trainer can charge is $100 per session. One session will award 10 points.
Trainers can be found employed by one of the stables. Only trainers working AS trainers at a stable can train horses for points. Stables can employ up to 3 trainers.
If you ARE a trainer, you can train your own horse, but you'll have to pay the base price of $100.
How to get a horse trained:
1) find a trainer, agree on a price.
2) the trainer will RP a training session with your horse (optional)
3) go to the bank, and fill out the purchasing form (the 'item' will be "training" and the 'seller' will be the name of the trainer)
Money
Every time you post you will gain 5 dollars. The money that adds up can be used to buy houses, horses, pets, stables, and upgrades on stables (like racetracks and indoor rings) and upgrades on home (like pools or additional bedrooms).
Buying a house
If there is a house for sale on a street that you would like to buy, go to the bank and request the purchase. You may also message a description or photo of the house you'd like to have added.
Buying a Business
Businesses can be bought. The prices are advertised in the descriptions of unowned businesses. If you would like to buy a business, go to the bank.
Buying a Stable
Buying a stable is just like buying a house. If there is a stable available and you can afford to buy it, go to the bank and request the purchase.
Upgrading a Stable/House
In order to add more facilities to your stable/home, go to the Squeeky Seat Feed, Tack, and Hardware store and look at what different facilities cost. If you'd like to buy one, go to the bank and request the purchase.
Buying a Pet
Pets can be purchased at the pet store. If you'd like to buy a pet, you can do so by going to the bank and requesting the purchase.
Selling Personal Property
Anything you own (houses, stables, horses, dogs, businesses, etc) can be sold to other players. Do this by going to the auction house, and putting the item up for sale. Buyers can purchase the item for the price you asked, or make a bid. If you just want the item gone, you can also offer to "sell the item to the bank" meaning that if no players want to buy your item, the bank will purchase it. The amount that the bank will pay you will be the amount you initially paid for the item, plus any money you spend on upgrades.
Other
Stable Services
-Stable owners can offer boarding for other players horses, horse training, aswell as horse shows.
-Make a post in the "Stable" subboard to store the information of all your horses. Be sure that the stable you are boarding at has room. There are three ways to check:
1)The board description will state how many stalls the stable has. You can see how many stalls are in use in the Stable subboard.
2)The joining form (in the joining board) will state which stables are full (if any)
3)Ask the stable owner or the site admin.
If you own a horse, you MUST post their information in a stable (or they dont exist). When you join, be sure to post your horses' information in the stable you want immediately, as the stalls are limited.
