Maria was sitting on a park bench, aimlessly playing her guitar. It was drizzling a bit, but Maria didn't notice. She was lost in her own thoughts. Was it right? What would happen if they did nothing? Would Riot really walk away? Was is right? And if it wasn't right, was it wrong? It was sundown, and the western sky was bleeding red and orange from behind a drab bandage of storm cloud. A few line of poetry escaped Maria lips. "Last moments are the truth-tellers, but for the death of the sun..." She trailed off, and so did the guitar's song. Someone was walking down the path. Maria was hoping that it wasn't the police who had come to tell her to go home.

Riley stared ahead blankly. Her feet carried her down the path before her. She was exhausted it'd been an eventful few weeks here in this little town. She'd just arrived and already owned a farm. It needed work but riley was up for it. She snapped back to reality as she heard a few strings from a guitar. She glanced up and saw the girl sitting on a park bench. She began to wonder what she was doing out here. It was getting dark she wondered if the park closed at dark but just as the thought crossed her mind the lamp lighting the path kicked on. She jumped a little startled by the sudden light. At this point she was standing beside the girl on the bench. "I was not expecting that." She laughed to herself then looked down over at the girl. "Hi, I'm Riley." She figured she'd introduce herself it was the polite thing to do not to mention someone to talk to wouldn't be so bad.

Michel walked into a park. Such a nice plae here. He kept walking, spinning as he did to take in all the scenery. He walked into the middle of the park and sat down on the grass. Daydreaming as he did of getting to the barn to ride his horse. He had to wait a bit longer first, let the horse get settled in. They would be too wound up now. He drempt of jumping him and working dressage.

Maria glanced up when the lights turned on. "Oh. Hi. Um, I'm Maria," she said, adjusting the guitar on her lap. She played a few more, soft notes, and then sat back. The last rays of the sun went behind the hill, and the rain started to pick up a bit. Maria pulled her silvery hair back a little.

Riley glanced at the girl before turning when movement caught her attention. She saw a guy spinning around looking around the park. Then noticed he went and sat in the middle of the grass. She shook her head and turned back to the girl as the rain began to pick up. "Nice to meet you Miranda." she smiled and rolled her eyes "What lovely weather." A note of sarcasm tracing her words.

"Sorry, did I say Miranda? I meant Maria." she said, pulling her hood up. She spotted a man sitting out on the lawn, and wondered what he was doing there. "I for one, actually like rain," Maria said.

Michel got up soon and walked over to the parks enterence. He was getting cold in the rain and wanted to go inside for a bit. But where to go? He walked over to some people talking at a bench and waited for a break in thier conversation. "Hello, may I ask if you know of somewhere I could go to warm up?" He stood tapping his foot while he waited for an answer. He never was very patient.

She raised her hand to her mouth. "I'm so sorry i was a little distracted." She was horrible with her attention span it was that of a one month old colt she was here then gone. "Well Maria, I'm really sorry for messing up your name" her face was deep red she could feel it burning. She pulled up the hood on her jacket and sighed. "I don't like standing in the rain but i love riding in it." she glanced up at the sky then heard the sound of footsteps behind them. She turned in time to hear the man behind hers words. She thought for a second. "Well you have the bar." she only had one suggestion she was still new and the only place in town other then this park she'd visited was the bar. "Maria you know of anywhere else?" she turned back to the girl on the bench.

"Thanks." Michel said quietly, also turning to face the other girl. He wasn't too too big on bars, but he'd live if that was it. This was kind of a small town after all. Michel stood, nodding his head to a beat no one else could hear. Sure, he was kind of wierd. But he needed something to do to pass the time before going to see his horse. He was dying to saddle up and ride the trails. The brochure had said they were wonderful. Hey, the brochure! He took it out of his pocket and started to read it.
