Will drove the trailer threw the parking grounds, the trailer swaying slightly from the pounding kick of King. Will pressed a button on the little screen sitting on his center consul. The screen went black then showed the inside of his Sundowner Trailer. King stuck his nose in the Camera lense, huffing slightly before turning back to the food in the bag just below the window.
Will watched an RV pull away, having to stop and wait for nearly twenty minutes as he backed up and pulled forward and backed up and pulled forward, times that by... hmm, ten thousand and that's what Will was staring at. Will turned the radio up, a George Strait song came on. "Excuuuuse me, but I- Think you've got myyy chair," trickled out of the radio. Will turned it on and waited. King pounded against the trailer anxiously and Will pressed a button, "King!" The horse's ears pinned and he paused. "Knockitoff!" he growled. King gave out a huff of air and seemed to relax a little.
Will finally watched the RV pull away and continued. He pulled down to the very end before parking on the hot asphalt. "That makes two of us, glad you came," the singer's voice continued on the radio. Will hopped out of the truck after putting it in park and walked to the tack door on the trailer and pulled out a few things before letting King's screen down on the window so he could poke his head out.
The greedy pig shoved his face out the second he got the chance and let out a piercing holler. "Damn those thoroughbred lungs," Will grimaced, holding his ears with his hands. "I'll be def for months," he said, especially with his heightened senses.
Will clipped a lead to King and unclipped the harnessed clip in the trailer so he could take him out, then tossed the lead over his back. King kicked, "HEY! Cut that out or I'll pull out the W-H-I-P!" he snapped. King just paused, flicking his intelligent ears forward, studying the threat.
Will walked around to the back and opened up the trailer, letting the ramp down then swinging the full doors open. He walked into the three slant trailer and watched King crane his neck to look at him with a 'Well are you gunna get me out of here or what?' kind of look. "Hold your damn breath, maybe you'll pass out," Will offered. The horse pinned his ears and bared his teeth, his lip raising high into the air. "Shove a sock in it," he grumbled. He pulled the slant into place against the wall and grabbed the lead, letting him turn around, since he was small enough length wise to do so and probably thought himself a cutting horse. Well, better than him knowing he's a cunning horse.
King snorted and looked around excitedly. "Shhhh shhh, we're just here to relax, no racing," Will soothed as he tied him up loosely at the trailer and began to saddle him in the oldest warn out saddle he had, salt was bad on the leather, and he planned to get wet.
Will undid his bridle and then slipped the reins over King's head and unclipped the chin strap on the halter and slipped it off, letting it clatter against the side of the white trailer. Will slipped the bit easily into the horse's mouth and then tightened his flash and noseband as tight as it'd go. Then he tightened his girth and stuck his foot in the stirrup, wiggled the saddle a little to let King know, and swung on, he reached over, grabbing his helmet and securing it on his head before grabbing his whip. He shut the door to the trailer with a firm slam and then locked his truck with the button. He didn't lock his trailer door, but it took someone with extreme skill to open that thing, even when unlocked.
King snorted and looked around, seeing a few other horses calmed him down a little, but when Will felt him bunch his hind legs he turned him in a small circle and then made him break into a canter as soon as they started to go straight. People watched, the floaty horse maybe wasn't the choicest, but damn did he look good. King snorted and broke to the gallop, but Will handled that quickly and slowed him to a canter. After he seemed to get over his anxiety, Will brought him to trot and then walk. King snorted at the water, then lipped it and seemed to understand it wasn't dangerous.
Will let him trot in the water and even go so far out as to swim, but then brought him back to shore. "You tired bud? We'll walk for a while, let you get your energy back," he offered.
